Availability of natural resources
:
The country of Brazil presents favorable natural conditions to
become a world leader in the production of biodiesel.
There exists a large availability of extensive areas of
cultivable land, not conducive for food crops, but very
appropriate for different species of oil producing plants.
The PNPB has also adopted an nonrestrictive policy allowing oil
production from various plant species such as mamona, sunflower,
soy, cotton, amongst others. This flexibility allows efficient
use of available land for agriculture in Brazil.
